Job Description

Packers are critical to success at FritoLay! Our Packers are responsible for constructing boxes and packing them full of products you already know and love. Although you will start with FritoLay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, PepsiCo.

Because this role is a multi-role position, there are multiple different jobs included in one with varying pay rates.

Here are some of the tasks that you could expect to perform during the workday as a Packer:

  • Construct boxes and pack them manually or with the help of automated machines
  • Perform regular quality checks at required frequency
  • Support repacking cases rejected from automated machines or clearing case jams
  • Palletize cases on the floor in the event of equipment downtime
  • Responsible for conducting both dry wipes and wet wash changeovers on manufacturing equipment and set up lines during a changeover process
  • Maintain housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required

Here are some of the tasks that you could expect to perform during the workday in Box Drop:

  • Troubleshoot case erector equipment and clear machine faults in a timely manner
  • Consistently refill cases into multiple case erector machines (5 to 12 lines assigned to you at one time)
  • Operate power jack (PIT) to move pallets of cases to and from machines
  • Communicate effectively with peers and management over the radio or intercom system

Here are some of the tasks that you could expect to perform during the workday as a Sanitation Utility:

  • Cleaning the equipment and lines necessary for manufacturing products
  • Working with mild chemicals while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure safety
  • Reading and utilizing checklists to ensure compliance with validated sanitation operating procedures then filling out end of shift paperwork validating work completion
  • Detailed cleaning of equipment with provided tools, including scrub pads, brushes, picks and paper towels
  • Inspecting equipment with a flashlight to verify successful cleaning

We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and it's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse or manufacturing environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet the entirety of your shift. Packers are expected to stay on the line until relieved for break. We're seeking individuals who are flexible, committed, and safety-focused. Here are the minimum qualifications of this job:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
  • You can stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You can repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation

Our application takes 20-25 minutes to finish on any device. Our mission is to get you in for an interview instead of jumping through hoops. Just keep an eye on your e-mail, and we will take care of the rest.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
